I’m Lucille M. Shaw, founder of Finances for Life, LLC, an independent, California-registered, fee-only fiduciary advisory firm. For over 25 years, I have assisted medical professionals, entrepreneurs, and retirees across San Diego County and Southern California in making clear and thoughtful financial, estate, and legacy decisions.

My work focuses on stewardship. I assist clients in safeguarding their achievements, planning for life changes, and making financial decisions that reflect their health, family, and long-term values.

Why I Started Finances for Life

My professional career started in healthcare as a board-certified Medical Technologist (ASCP), where accuracy, evidence, and trust were crucial. Decisions had real consequences, and precision was vital.

That mindset influences how I handle financial planning today. Like good medicine, effective planning is preventive, personalized, and based on a clear understanding rather than urgency.

I founded Finances for Life after seeing skilled professionals struggle with financial complexity while managing busy careers and family duties. They did not need extra confusion. They needed clarity, advocacy, and a fiduciary partner dedicated solely to their best interests.

As a woman-owned, fee-only RIA, I offer transparent, unbiased advice with no commissions and no conflicts of interest.
